The Welsh government has published a commencement order to implement the domestic sprinkler law. This confirms as previously announced that sprinklers will be required as of 30 April 2014 in all new care homes, children’s homes, halls of residence, certain types of hostels and boarding houses, and as of 1 January 2016 in dwelling houses and flats (apartments).
