The Paris Fire Brigade reports that it sent 200 fire-fighters to a fire in an apartment building on the Boulevard de Sebastopol in central Paris early on 20th December. The fire started in the lift and caused the wooden staircase to collapse, as well as the ceilings on the third, fourth and fifth floors of the seven storey building. 20 people were evacuated and seven suffered minor injuries.
